C\u00e9line Guivarch completed her PhD thesis at the International Research Center on Environment and Development (CIRED<\/a>) and has been a research director there since 2017. She specializes in the economics of climate change at the global level, a field in which she has been actively involved since her PhD, which focused on assessing the cost of climate policies, in particular with regard to certain rigidities (labor market,  inertia of installed capacity etc.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She holds an engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique (X 2000) and from Ecole nationale des ponts et chauss\u00e9es (IPEF 2005). From 2010 to 2011, she worked at the International Energy Agency<\/a>, where she studied the impact of climate change on electricity generation. She is a member of France’s High Council for the Climate and was a lead author of the IPCC’s (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change<\/a>) Sixth Assessment Report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
