Alban Farchi is a permanent researcher at CEREA. He obtained his PhD from Paris-Est University in 2019, working on the localization of ensemble data assimilation methods. Since then, he has focused on developing methods combining data assimilation and statistical learning for the geosciences. In 2020 and 2022, ECMWF invited him to work with its team on the use of neural networks for model error correction.
