With a PhD in Geography, Yao Tsoekeo Amedokpo is a research fellow at the Ville Mobilit\u00e9 Transport Laboratory at \u00c9cole nationale des ponts et chauss\u00e9es. His research examines the role played by new forms of mobility in the Global South, and more specifically the trajectories of electromobility in Africa, from a variety of angles, from stakeholder interactions and market choicesto business models, the circulation of ideas in public policy, user experience and the pre-adoption behavior of potential users of transport innovations. He joined the REGIENOV IV project supported by the Renault ParisTech Foundation in 2020, contributing to work on motorization dynamics in the Global South by setting up the first Observatory of Electric Mobility in Africa (OMEA). Another part of his work on Africa is devoted to analyzing paratransit (intermediate modes of transport) initiatives and reforms, in particular inclusive institutional developments in transport and mobility governance, the transformation of mobility services through capacity solutions such as BRT, light rail, urban rail, etc., and the organization of feeder services to these new structuring projects in African cities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
